Puppy Mum

You know how kids always hand things to their moms to carry for them? "Don't bring your gigantic dinosaur, you won't want to carry it after 10 minutes." They bring it anyway, of course, then mumsy dearest gets to carry the dino the rest of the day! Saoirse is the same, in her own puppy way. She brings me things to hold for her while she chews on them, tries to bury them underneath me for future nibbling, or just brings me toys and leaves them in my lap as she goes to do something else. I'm a table!

Puppy Pictures!!!

Saoirse (Seer-sha) is my adorable new yellow lab puppy. I'm trying to upload pictures of her but for some reason my computer isn't cooperating. I'll add them as soon as I can figure it out!
For some reason she loves sleeping in our dirty clothes. She makes a nest in on our laundry room floor and takes her bunny in there. She smells a little funny now, so I think we need to get a hamper that she can't get into...

Putting Up a Route Near Hanksville

In April Adam, me, Carl and Jade went to work on putting up a route in the desert. It was extremely windy and sandy, but it was fun anyway. However, none of us felt up to camping afterwards, which was the original plan. We drove back in the dark, all sandy and sunburnt. I had fun taking pictures of Jade, she posed really well!

Moving Down South

I've been working in Payson for a year now, and in three days we're moving down there. Mostly we're moving because at this new place we can have a dog, but there's also that it's a much nicer place, it's ridiculously closer to my work, it will save us a bunch of gas money because Adam's riding his motorcycle, and I'm very tired of the place we're in now. The new place even has a dishwasher, which I'm very excited about!

I actually already have a dog. A Cora/Uragan puppy came back about a month ago, and Steve's been keeping her at the kennel where I work until we get into our new place. She's a little over 6 months now. She's a red Doberman with a cropped tail and natural ears. Very outgoing, loves to play! Her name is Jade. I can't wait until I can take her home with me.

We've got 4 or 5 people helping us move on Sunday. I always feel weird having other people see all my stuff, even if most of it's in boxes. Then again, we're not terribly secretive people, so it's not such a big deal.

I dyed (temporarily) part of my hair purple this afternoon. I like it so much that I think I'm going to have it done permanently soon. I don't talk a lot to other people, mostly because I work with dogs all day and not people, and it seems to bring a little of my personality out into the open without me having to convey it with words.

New Phone!!!

I got a new cell phone - a metallic purple Blackberry which flips open and has a full QWERTY keyboard. Now I can post anywhere! Here's a picture of an adorable puppy I take care of.
